Article Title

Wapnote went live in November 2009. Wapnote is a website which will allow users to build and deploy mobile internet websites quickly and easily. The site also allows users to send out the created mobile sites to peoples’ mobile phones via SMS, Twitter or Email.

Wapnote provides an interface for creating mobile sites and adding text, images and other pages to them. Using this interface people can create any kind of mobile page they like. Examples of its uses would be:

  • A beauty salon could create a mobile website for their business listing their treatments, prices, etc. This could then be sent out to customers with Wapnote as part of a bulk sms marketing campaign.
  • A person could create a mobile internet invitation for a party giving details of its location, etc. and sms it to their friends.
  • A restaurant or takeaway shop could create a mobile website listing their menu. This could then be sent out to customers with Wapnote as part of a bulk sms marketing campaign.
  • A football team could create a mobile web page with the dates and times of all their matches for the month, and sms it directly to the phones of the team and supporters.
  • A hotel could create a mobile web page with a map of its location – this could be sent to the mobile phones of customers if they phone looking for directions to the hotel.
